There’s no need to feel pain!
Dr. Schultz very strongly believes that there is no honor in pain; when you’re his patient, you won’t experience discomfort during your treatments. You will feel comfortable, secure and well cared for. That’s our promise and our commitment to you.
With modern dental techniques and equipment, there’s no reason for you to hurt when you’re having dental treatment.
If you’re nervous about receiving dental treatment, or if you’re having extensive work done, you may want to consider anesthetic/sedation options such as nitrous oxide (“laughing gas”) or oral sedation (“that little blue pill”).
We’ll even provide transportation to and from your home if you’re having extensive cosmetic or restorative work. Just let us know your fears and/or concerns, and we’ll find a way to put you at ease!
Using technology for your benefit
Dr. Schultz stays informed about the latest dental materials, equipment and techniques so that he can bring the benefits of these advances to his patients right away.
Digital imaging
When you’re unhappy with your current smile, it can be difficult to imagine just how wonderful you’d look with a new one. Digital imaging takes out some of the guesswork. We take a picture of you as you look now; then, using sophisticated software programs, manipulate the images of your teeth and gums so you can see how you’d look after esthetic treatment. We’ll discuss the “new you,” and make any necessary adjustments.
With digital imaging, you’ll feel confident about the outcome of your treatment even before it starts.
Digital radiography
Using digital images instead of traditional dental x-rays dramatically decreases the amount of radiation you receive—in fact, it reduces your radiation exposure by 80% versus film. Another advantage to digital x-rays is that they’re ready to read immediately on the computer monitor, so you won’t have to wait around while they’re developing to see if they came out. And, since the digital images are stored in our computer, they’re always readily available whenever we need to refer to them.
Intra-oral TV Camera
Now you can see just what the doctor sees when he looks inside your mouth! With the intra-oral camera you can become a more informed participant in your dental care, because you’re better able to visualize what’s happening with your teeth and gums and how any problem areas can be corrected.
Diagnodent
This diagnostic laser allows us to find very small areas of decay in a tooth. The sooner we find the area, the smaller the restoration—which is healthier for your tooth and easier on your smile!
Air abrasion
Fixing a cavity without drilling? It’s true! The air abrasion tool is a very tiny sandblaster, so there’s no vibration, no drill noise—and best of all—no need for anesthesia. Air abrasion is also easier on your tooth enamel, which is less likely to fracture with air abrasion than with traditional drilling.
