Do your gums bleed when you brush your teeth?  You probably  have periodontal disease, a chronic bacterial infection that can cause serious damage to your body.  Left untreated, periodontal disease will cause you to lose the bone that holds your teeth in place  And when the bone is gone, the teeth follow closely behind.  The bacteria that cause periodontal disease have also been linked to other health concerns such as heart disease, diabetes and pregnancy problems.

Dr. Schultz first uses non-surgical techniques to get patients’ periodontal disease under control. More difficult cases may require periodontal surgery. No matter what type of periodontal treatment you may need, however, Dr. Schultz and his team will ensure that you are comfortable during it.
